About Engage Spot

Built in the day-to-day work of local church ministry.

Engage Spot began at Joy Fountain Church after Daniel Lemky saw how text messaging could keep people connected—and how disconnected tools made that communication harder than it needed to be.

Why Engage Spot exists

Texting worked. Everything around it made staying connected harder.

Joy Fountain already knew the value of text messaging. It met people where they were, kept them informed between gatherings, and gave them a familiar way to reply. But the tools around that communication did not work together.

Event registrations arrived through one system. Contacts were copied into spreadsheets and moved into another texting platform. Communication lists were difficult for people to join themselves. Custom forms were limited, and some messages did not reach their intended recipients.

Daniel began building Engage Spot around two priorities: dependable communication and the simplest possible way for members and visitors to connect with the church. Events, forms, subscriptions, people records, and text messaging became parts of the same system because that was what the ministry work required.

The mission

Make it easier for churches to stay connected with people throughout the week.

Engage Spot helps people sign up, ask for prayer, register for events, receive relevant updates, and reply—without leaving staff and volunteers to hold disconnected tools together by hand.

“When we began building Engage Spot, the first priorities were reliability and making it as easy as possible for church members and visitors to connect with the church.”

The person behind the product

Daniel Lemky

Creator of Engage Spot
Digital Team Leader at Joy Fountain Church

Church experience and technical experience belong in the same room.

Daniel has served at Joy Fountain Church since 2013. He leads its Digital Team and preaches several times throughout the year. Engage Spot is shaped by firsthand experience with the communication needs of a local church where many leaders and team members serve as volunteers.

He also brings nearly a decade of experience building websites, web applications, integrations, registration systems, APIs, content platforms, and operational tools for organizations ranging from local businesses to enterprise software companies.

That combination matters. Engage Spot is not being designed from a feature checklist alone. It is being built by someone who understands both the technical systems and the ministry situations those systems are meant to support.

Selected technical experience

Built on years of shipping real systems.

Before and alongside Engage Spot, Daniel’s work has included public websites, event commerce, member platforms, large-scale software, integrations, and growth systems.

How that shapes the product

Practical technology, kept in its proper place.

01

Easy for people

Signing up, registering, sharing a request, and replying should feel simple from a phone.

02

Manageable for volunteers

Church communication should not require a large staff or hours of moving information between tools.

03

Connected by design

What people sign up for should stay connected to who they are and how they have chosen to hear from the church.

04

Grounded in ministry

Software can remove administrative friction, but people, relationships, and leadership remain at the centre.
